My online vote! – Conference in Brasov

My online vote is a campaign run by the Pro Democracy Association with the support of Penrose CDB, the Permanent Electoral Authority and the Brasov Metropolitan Agency. The action is part of a larger project called “E-Referendum in Romania!”, Implemented by APD Brăila, through CIVIC_2015_25_603, a project implemented with the financial support of the Civic Innovation Fund, a program developed by the Foundation for Civil Society Development partnership with the Romanian-American Foundation and the Trust for Civil Society in Central and Eastern Europe. 

The goal of the project is to implement the e-voting system in public consultation campaigns for public decision-making of local interest. Also, the project is a starting point, not a final solution, to test technologies and Internet voting concepts in Romania. The cities that accepted our challenge and chose to participate in the project are Braşov, Făgăraş and Râşnov. Each of them chose a community problem to submit to the vote in this pilot public consultation project.
